818 is the market leader in securing public interest for its range of high profile entertainment clients. After a strong year of growth, we are on the hunt for key new talent to take the business to the next level, in the newly-created role of Publicity Campaign Manager.


Working closely with the Managing Director and the Campaign Coordinator out of our Karangahape Road office, the Publicity Campaign Manager will be responsible for leading the strategy, planning and execution of some of New Zealand's most exciting entertainment publicity campaigns and events as well as driving the growth of 818's market share across our key entertainment markets.


The Publicity Campaign Manager will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in the publicity space and ideally have a strong network of local entertainment media contacts across print, radio, TV and online.  The successful candidate will hold a burning desire to achieve success in the fields of publicity and events and excel in forming strong and genuine relationships with people from all walks of life including talent, creatives and media. They will be a self-starter who values autonomy, thrives running their own projects and delivers exceptional results. They will have an excellent track record of dealing with talent and media and enjoy rolling up their sleeves and getting into the trenches with the rest of the team when required.

  • Strategising and executing engaging PR campaigns across a range of mediums. 
  • Working with key entertainment talent, including chaperoning and training. 
  • Regular reporting to both the 818 team and clients. 
  • Managing project budgets and expenses. 
  • Mentoring junior and casual staff. 
  • Growing 818's market share across our key entertainment markets.



  • 4 years of experience in the publicity space. 
  • A valid NZ work Visa. 
  • Full driver's license and own car. 
  • Comfortable to work outside the normal 9-5 and travel when required.
